Our Technology

Our proprietary conversion process can make cellulose nanofibers cost-competitive and scalable

Feedstock-flexible

We use undervalued and widely available feedstocks, such as agricultural residues, invasive grasses, and industrial hemp.

Gentle Chemistry

Our reactions are carried out at mild conditions and atmospheric pressure. We also avoid using highly toxic chemicals such as TEMPO (which is widely used in this application).

Simple and Scalable

Our chemical-mechanical process employs off-the-shelf equipment previously demonstrated by other industries, including pulp and paper, chemical, and food.

Tunable Products

We can tune the process parameters to make nanofibers with different characteristics for our customers.

No "one size fits all."
